On June 14, 2023, Making Good Use of Digitalization, Home Furnishing Customization Is Not Scary: Soonfor Academy President Camp was successfully held at Soonfor Software's Dongguan headquarters. This event was guided by the Dongguan Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and hosted by Soonfor Software. Mai Yaoqin, Deputy Director of the Dongguan Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Huang Biqin, Fourth-Level Researcher of the bureau, Zhang Zifeng, Deputy Director of the Nancheng Economic Development Bureau, Zhang Zhufeng, Head of the Industrial Internet Division, Wang Guowei from the Financing Promotion Division, the person in charge of the Consumer Goods Industry Division, as well as the Chairman of Soonfor Software, operator representatives, the head of the Huawei Empowerment Center, association representatives, representatives of industrial chain service providers, and many Dongguan home furnishing enterprises gathered together. Through half a day of study and exchange, they hoped to promote higher-quality development of Dongguan's home furnishing industry chain.
With the theme of Making Good Use of Digitalization, Home Furnishing Customization Is Not Scary, the event unfolded in two major parts: immersive on-site experiential learning and sharing successful paths for customization enterprises. At the start of the event, Mr. Mai Yaoqin, Deputy Director of the Dongguan Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, delivered the opening remarks, saying: Our city attaches great importance to the development of the home furnishing industry and is committed to strengthening and expanding it. We will persistently promote the continuous deepening of digital transformation in traditional industries from four aspects: First, build an evaluation system for enterprise digital transformation. Second, strengthen the functions of public service platforms for digital transformation. Third, build a group of industry-specific digital transformation benchmarks. Fourth, increase efforts in the cultivation of digital talent. We hope that through this event, everyone can learn from one another in the course of exchanges, strengthen cooperation, find suitable paths and solutions for digital transformation, achieve high-quality enterprise development, and jointly promote the transformation of the home furnishing industrial ecosystem toward digitalization, networking, and intelligence. After that, Zhang Aiguo, Chairman of Soonfor Software, came to the stage and delivered a speech. Chairman Zhang said: In addition to promotion from the industrial chain and the government, digital transformation is even more inseparable from the determination and vision of entrepreneurs themselves. It can improve enterprise efficiency, reduce costs, shorten production cycles, and enhance competitiveness. The goal of digital transformation is to keep improving and refining ourselves, becoming better in service, marketing, manufacturing, delivery, product quality, and all other aspects, and strengthening the enterprise as a whole. Digital transformation is a long process that requires continuous learning and improvement of our digital knowledge to adapt to the digital transformation trend of the new era. For this reason, we specifically organized this training camp themed Making Good Use of Digitalization, Home Furnishing Customization Is Not Scary. We hope it can help our home furnishing enterprises, especially Dongguan's local home furnishing enterprises, find new breakthrough directions, move toward a path of sustainable development, and promote the transformation and upgrading of our home furnishing industry. I. Scenario-Based Teaching and Experiential Learning Sand Table Principle Factory Showroom Cases After the leaders' speeches, the learning journey of this President Camp began. Under the guidance of Soonfor staff, participants were divided into groups to learn the overall digital planning of enterprises through the home furnishing operations sand table and to learn the C2M model of intelligent manufacturing for custom home furnishing through the home furnishing intelligent manufacturing principle factory. Soonfor experts provided scenario-based teaching throughout, and participants learned through hands-on experience. The content was rich, the on-site display was vivid, and everything was easy to understand.
II. Soonfor Experts Analyze Cases and Learn from Peers' Successful Paths Nanyang Dike Tusen Home After learning at Soonfor, everyone returned to the main venue and began the afternoon session of in-depth study on successful home furnishing cases.
Mr. Liu Yihui, a senior consultant at Soonfor, conducted an in-depth analysis of the success paths of Nanyang Dike as a representative case of moving from finished products to customization and Tusen Home as a representative of high-end customization. Through sharing the growth paths and digital strategies of well-known enterprises in the industry, he hoped to provide reference for Dongguan home furnishing enterprises that want to transform into customization, or are already doing customization but not doing it well, and help them move quickly toward success. 
Using richly illustrated and clearly structured explanations, Mr. Liu explained how digitalization can help an enterprise move from finished products to customization quickly, steadily, and profitably within the first year. He also explained how home furnishing enterprises already engaged in customization can use digitalization to build an integrated front-middle-back-end operating system, strengthen order intake, strengthen delivery, stabilize quality, and improve the first-pass yield rate. The participants listened with great interest and from time to time took out their phones to record the session with photos. After the course, participants said there was no fluff in the class: top-level digital planning logic, practical implementation methods, and successful case learning were all solid takeaways, and they gained a great deal. They hoped that more meaningful events like this would be held, and they sincerely thanked the Soonfor instructors for their wonderful sharing and the government for building the platform. Some participants were still not satisfied after the course and voluntarily stayed behind to continue asking the instructors questions and exchanging ideas.
Through joint efforts by government and enterprises, this event provided home furnishing enterprises with a valuable learning opportunity, built a platform for in-depth exchange between the supply and demand sides of the home furnishing industry chain, promoted closer interaction between outstanding local digital service providers in Dongguan and home furnishing enterprises, and aimed to use digitalization to drive industry transformation and upgrading and help home furnishing enterprises reduce costs and improve efficiency!
