On the afternoon of July 27, Zhang Zengping, deputy director of the Shaoguan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Shen Aiping, director of the archives, Xie Gang, deputy director, and Tian Aijun, secretary-general of the Dongguan Big Data Association, visited the Dongguan headquarters of Soonfor Software for a research tour. Zhou Lijuan, marketing director of Soonfor Software, gave them a warm reception.

Director Zhang and his delegation successively visited the Soonfor home furnishing operation sandbox, the home furnishing intelligent manufacturing principle factory and the home furnishing experience center. They learned that Soonfor Software has been deeply engaged in digitalization in the home furnishing industry for many years and has achieved strong results worthy of study.

Shaoguan has a total area of 18,400 square kilometers, ranking second in Guangdong Province. At the end of 2021, Shaoguan had a registered population of 3.3675 million, including an urban population of 1.5369 million. In September 2019, Shaoguan was selected as one of the second batch of national industrial transformation and upgrading demonstration zones. In 2022, Shaoguan achieved regional GDP of 156.393 billion yuan, up 0.2% from 2021.

Shaoguan is a heavy industrial city in Guangdong. It began during the small third-line construction period and has a solid foundation covering 34 major industry categories. It is one of Guangdong's largest steel production bases and the only national industrial transformation and upgrading demonstration zone in the province.

At the symposium, Director Zhang introduced Shaoguan's main industries and development directions. On February 7, 2022, the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments approved the launch of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area hub and the establishment of the Shaoguan data center cluster. The Shaoguan municipal Party committee and government attach great importance to the construction of the Shaoguan cluster and have positioned the development of the big data industry as a decisive factor for Shaoguan's economic development. To strengthen industrial cooperation and exchanges between Shaoguan and Dongguan, this research visit was specially arranged to learn from outstanding enterprises in Dongguan, and everyone is also welcome to visit Shaoguan for inspection and cooperation.
