Introduction to Gaozhibao

Gaobao Furniture Shenzhen Co., Ltd. is located in Building 13, Shapuwei Entrepreneurship Industrial Zone, Songgang Subdistrict, Bao'an District, Shenzhen. Founded in 2004, it currently has 500 employees and more than 60,000 square meters of factory space. The company mainly produces wooden, fabric, and leather casual sofas, integrating R&D, production, and sales, with annual output of 180,000 sofas. Its products are exported to Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, generating USD 30 million in foreign exchange each year.


Since 2017, it has gradually separated its export business and established Dongguan Gaozhibao Home Co., Ltd. The company mainly operates in the mid-to-high-end upholstered furniture segment, with products sold to Europe and the United States and annual output value exceeding RMB 200 million. Dongguan Gaozhibao is located at No. 304 Furniture Avenue, Shuanggang Village, Houjie, Dongguan, with more than 50,000 square meters of factory space. From the beginning, its team aimed to use Soonfor's industry management methods and digital tools to achieve a strong start and rapid growth. With more than 400 employees today, it has become one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, and its annual order volume grows by 30 percent.

Four months of work, a successful conclusion

Before this, Gaobao had used an information management system in Shenzhen, but the results were not obvious and on-site application was unsuccessful. After extensive inspection and research by company leaders and management, it ultimately chose Soonfor Software.

On July 4, 2019, the Gaozhibao & Soonfor ERP project finally reached a successful conclusion. From going live in March to project closure in early July, the implementation lasted four months. The Soonfor ERP project has now been launched across Gaozhibao Group's development, business, warehousing, purchasing, quality, production, and finance departments, and all modules are fully online and running normally. Project closure means Gaozhibao has entered a brand-new stage of digital management and is moving toward a path of modern, standardized, and easier management.

Before Gaozhibao implemented its ERP system, various data and information circulated within only one department and could not be shared across departments, which led to high communication costs. Now, through the control of the Soonfor ERP system and the cooperation of all departments, Gaozhibao has its own "big data" and can check production-related information and data in the system at any time, truly realizing data sharing.

The process was tough, but the result was worth it

At the project-closing conference, Mr. Li of Gaozhibao said, "During Gaozhibao's implementation of the Soonfor ERP system, we went through many difficulties, and colleagues in every department often worked overtime. But what is worth celebrating is that we finally closed the project and ushered in a more efficient, standardized, and modern management model."

Through this ERP launch, Gaozhibao also deeply realized the importance of organized data, standardized processes, and clearly defined functions. Taking inbound and outbound warehousing as an example, Gaozhibao previously relied entirely on manual handovers for finished-goods movements, so data was unclear and errors were easy to make. After implementing ERP, all inbound and outbound operations are managed through a barcode scanning system, making the data more accurate and the handover process clearer.

Keep pace with the times and stay aligned with digital management

The original intention behind Gaozhibao's implementation of the Soonfor ERP system was to establish a standardized, complete, and rigorous workflow, making the production process procedural, standardized, and accountable, thereby achieving efficient management, improving production efficiency, and controlling production costs. At the meeting, Mr. Cai of Gaozhibao encouraged employees by saying, "As modern managers, we must keep pace with the times, stay aligned with the rhythm of the era, and learn advanced ideas and technologies. A modern manager who does not understand ERP systems is not a qualified manager."

Regarding the company's attitude toward ERP implementation, Mr. Cai of Gaozhibao said, "When it comes to digital management, if we do it, we must do our best. Project closure is only the beginning. Gaozhibao employees, especially managers, still need to continue working together to maintain it, constantly summarize experience, improve the system, and do a good job in the company's digital management, letting big data speak for itself.
