Digital management helps enterprises reduce costs and improve efficiency

From home space measurement data, to consumers placing orders in stores or online, to order splitting, order consolidation, and complete-set management after entering the production stage, and finally to delivery, installation, and after-sales service, the production and sales process in the traditional home furnishing industry appears simple, but in reality problems often arise because process management lacks digitalization and the data of each process is not connected.

"For example, making a sofa requires steps such as producing the internal steel and wood structure, cutting, sorting, sewing fabric, installing spring webbing, and upholstery. In the past, these processes might all have relied on manual communication, making it difficult to control production steps. Different craftsmen used different material standards and took different amounts of time, and there were often shortages or missing materials, resulting in multiple problems such as low capacity and inaccurate delivery times."

Xu Aizhen, Deputy General Manager of Soonfor's Marketing Center, said that by using Soonfor's software, the product line can be digitally supervised throughout the entire process. Production standards are predefined for each link, BOM component lists are established, process routes are set, material completeness is controlled, and the system calculates the optimal schedule. In this way, enterprises can connect internal data, smooth management links, and truly achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Yige Cloud Wooden Door is one of Soonfor's users. In the past, although the enterprise used multiple digital systems, the data among them could not be interconnected, resulting in serious information silos. Drawings were passed back and forth by email and on paper, which not only caused substantial waste but also easily led to errors. In addition, order records still relied on the traditional method of manual entry, making it very difficult to check order progress.

In 2018, Yige Cloud Wooden Door adopted Soonfor's F19 ERP. Through the Soonfor system, it established an informatized platform for flexible customization, realized interconnection from front-end display to the back end, and built a complete management process system. Efficiency in order taking, drawing control, and order progress inquiries was significantly improved, and communication costs were reduced. One code connects the entire production and sales process of home furnishing

Reducing costs, controlling quality, shortening lead times, and improving efficiency: why does digitalized home furnishing production have so many advantages? And how does Soonfor achieve this? In Soonfor's intelligent manufacturing factory experience area, Xu Aizhen introduced the code-based management model covering the whole process from customer customization to after-sales service.

First, before customers customize their own living spaces, professional measurement staff use the infrared tools in the app to measure space data and upload it. After a space customization plan is determined based on the data, stores or outlets divide the plan into different product groups and send them into the production stage. After each product is split into work orders, the components are assigned specific labels, such as QR codes, according to the customer's order, and then enter different workshops for batch production according to scientific scheduling. After all components are completed, the products belonging to the same order are sorted out through code identification, and then automatically warehoused, sent through intelligent logistics, assembled on site, and so on, easily using industrial efficiency to meet personalized customization needs.

"Almost the entire process of completing this order is digitally controlled, and the production process is fully visible. It no longer requires people to communicate and relay information as in the past, greatly saving communication costs and time costs," Xu Aizhen said. "Digitalization can also calculate how to cut materials for the optimal utilization rate by combining multiple orders, greatly reducing material waste. Production processes are also more standardized. For example, there are unified rules on how many coats of paint create the best visual result, so workers with different levels of skill can get started more easily."

In addition, when serving enterprises, Soonfor also makes maximum use of the experience it has accumulated over the years to help them plan well. "Whenever an enterprise comes to us, we first talk with it about the latest situation in its specific industry segment, and then, based on the management pain points and business needs it is currently facing, we provide services that are seventy percent mature and thirty percent customized," Xu Aizhen said.
